Fire Alarm & Detection systems come in many different shapes and sizes, there are many different manufacturers operating in the industry and each manufacturer has many different versions of their system they produce. When designing a brand new Fire Alarm system it's important that many different factors are considered to ensure all requirements are met. Firstly there are many different types of system that can be described as Fire Alarm & Detection systems aside from the general wired Fire Alarm panel and devices, systems such as Wireless Fire Alarm systems, Aspirating Fire Alarm systems, Gas Suppression systems, all fall under this description.

It's important that the right type of system is selected based on the type of premises it's being installed into, the use of those premises, any building environment concerns (such as areas that would consistent high dust levels such as a factory), and it's ability to interface with other systems in the building. Regardless of what system is needed PFS Group have decades of experienced designing, installing, commissioning and maintaining a vast multitude of different Fire Alarm & Detection systems.

Alongside our dedicated and knowledgeable installation team, PFS Group also has a separate Service department which maintains pre-existing systems. If you have a Fire Alarm & Detection system at your property that you would like us to maintain please contact us to discuss a free comprehensive survey so that we can provide you with a formal quotation. Our Service engineers are trained to complete detailed maintenance visits which are all formally documented. All of our service engineers have completed high-quality industry specific training to ensure they can maintain a wide range of Fire Alarm & Detection systems and their training ensures all of our maintenance visits are completed to the BS 5839:2017 standard.

UK fire alarm regulations state that your fire alarm system must be ‘adequately maintained’. BS 5839 recommends that a fire alarm system should be inspected by a ‘competent person’ at least every 6 months, and the government recommends following this standard.
