About BAFE

Established in 1984, BAFE is a non-profit making organization dedicated to improving standards in fire protection. It is supported, amongst others, by government, trading standards and the Health and Safety Executive. BAFE adopts third party Certification schemes developed by independent certifications bodies and where there are not relevant schemes in place, develops its own.

If you require fire protection services for your premises then you need BAFE to be sure that the companies that provide them meet all the appropriate standards and are independently audited.

BAFE is completely independent and therefore is a totally unbiased party to help competent companies and people in need of fire protection services find each other. There are registered companies across the UK and are both large nationals and smaller regional businesses who have all achieved the same high quality standards.

PFS Group have held BAFE certification for many years. We are approved to be part of the BAFE SP203-1 scheme through successful audits undertaken by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI).
