Dry risers are a requirement when designing a building where the height of the building exceeds 18 metres from the fire brigade access level to the top floor. Once in place it is very important that these systems are regularly checked as per BS9990:2015 to ensure they are working correctly.

Maintenance of a dry riser system consist of two inspections each year; one is a visual inspection and the other is a 'pressure test' consisting of testing the system with water and inspecting for full operation and any leaks.

PFS Group carry-out dry riser testing for a number of our clients, please reach out to us below if you have any requirements.
